The World Trade Centre attacks present major travel challenges for international guest speakers; three provide substitute video presentations. ASBT/NHMRC Clinical Practice Guidelines on Appropriate Use of Blood & Blood Products are released, making a significant contribution to the ANZSBT national profile & understanding of transfusion medicine.

The Australian & New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion (ANZSBT) aims to engage with stakeholders in all areas of transfusion through communication, representation and advocacy.
