ANZSBT supports transfusion practitioners from the Solomon Islands, Samoa, Indonesia & Vanuatu to travel to the Melbourne ASM (with ISH Asia Pacific & ASTH). The ANZSBT submission to the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority review on high cost “niche” blood products highlights difficulties in clinical decision making, provision and funding. The Society recommends their rational, safe and effective use. Updated guidelines for Administration of Blood Components are published with the RCN.
