PIVOTAL POINT IN OUR GESTATION - ANZSBT History Project

Dr Eric Shaw (pictured), Director of BTS Queensland & a recent Fellow of the International Society of Haematology (ISH) flies to Mexico City for the combined congress of the ISH & International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT). A member of the National BTS Committee, he represents Australia. Remarkably, he persuades the combined councils of the international societies to agree to Australia hosting a 1966 conjoint congress of the ISH/ISBT in Sydney.

The Australian & New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion (ANZSBT) aims to engage with stakeholders in all areas of transfusion through communication, representation and advocacy.
