Membership applications from New Zealand are now considered.

Dr Roy Simmons, whose research work at CSL Ltd includes developing a usable pipeline of clinical grade anti-Rh(D) immunoglobulin, Dr Edgar Thomson, (born in New Zealand), inaugural President of ASBT & Prof Bob Walsh (pictured) who chaired the 1963 meeting in Sydney to create the ASBT, are all conferred as Honorary ASBT life members.
