With increased, stable membership, a permanent Secretariat is agreed, positioning the Society well for its future work. The Training in Transfusion Medicine sub-committee reports progress with its collaborations & schedules a 1990 course in Melbourne. An Associate Membership category is created with constitutional amendments for scientists & clinicians in training.
