1950 Diamond et al report exchange transfusion for Erythroblastosis Fetalis.

1951 1st edition Mollison’s Blood Transfusion in Clinical Medicine published.

1952 Allan Walker MD ‘Clinical Problems of War’ published, in which there is a remarkable & detailed chapter (34) on blood transfusion.

1952 NSW Blood Bank moves to York St, Church Hill (formerly Petty’s Hotel); originally John Dunmore Lang’s home in the 1840’s.

1953 Walsh publishes one of earliest articles on preparation & use of red cell concentrates.
